The new DDA SMART Digital is the result of Grundfos’ patented Digital Dosing, which guarantees performance and precision for complex and demanding dosing applications. The powerful stepper motor with speed control and a setting range of up to 1:3000 ensures precise, consistent and continuous dosing in any chemical treatment application with consistent accuracy across the entire range.
“Grundfos wants to simplify dosing and make chemical management safer for the operator, and with the help of our users we have redesigned the way operators interact with our dosing pumps,” says Tom Sels, Global Product Manager, Dosing, at Grundfos.
The new DDA can be managed via the Grundfos GO app, available for iOS and Android, and offers numerous options for remote integration and monitoring. For example, Grundfos GO allows users to access clear configuration instructions for the DDA, copy and paste pump settings and perform firmware upgrades. In addition, the new user interface with guided setup menus makes commissioning the DDA child’s play – remotely using the app. For plant builders, the new DDA now offers integrated fieldbus solutions – for a simpler and more cost-effective installation.
“We have improved user-friendliness and provided time-saving transfer of pump settings, better fault diagnosis, improved connectivity, integration with Grundfos GO, increased reliability and easy maintenance and servicing,” Tom Sels continues.
With the new DDA, dosing, maintenance and servicing are even easier. The operator can safely manage chemical dosing systems with the Grundfos GO app, while the pump’s integrated flow control ensures that the right amount of chemicals is dosed at all times. This prevents waste, improves resource efficiency and ensures sustainable consumption in dosing systems.
“With the new DDA, we wanted to set new standards for sustainable and safe dosing solutions,” explains Tom Sels. “For example, in addition to the usual spare parts such as valves, membranes, sensors and mounting plates, the control cube of the new DDA with electronics and I/O module is also available as a spare part, which extends the service life of the pump almost indefinitely.”
